Out of all the games Evolution Gaming has released, Dream Catcher takes the cake as the most groundbreaking title. Its launch in 2017 brought a new era of live dealer gaming, not just in online casinos but also in brick and mortar establishments. The gigantic Dream Catcher wheel popularized the money wheel format once again, spurring the popularity of live games that have similar gameplay to live television game shows such as Deal or No Deal.

No mention of Evolution Gaming’s portfolio would be complete without talking about Dream Catcher. It is one of the games that stands out the most from other live casino providers. What is so special about Dream Catcher though?

Well, it was one of the first live casino titles that provided a TV game show-type feel to it. In fact, it is very similar to the wildly popular Wheel of Fortune. It is a little bit simpler than that though and offers players a huge amount of fun and excitement.

Live Dream Catcher Bitcoin Highlights

• Live dealer interface compatible with all devices
• Play in real time with real dealers
• Low house edge and bonus wins

However, Dream Catcher’s groundbreaking history and entertainment value aren’t the only things that separate it from other casino games. Its Return-to-Player percentage or RTP is also a matter of interest, especially to players looking to maximize their gaming experience. In live dealer table games such as blackjack and baccarat, the RTP simply means the percentage of the total bet that goes back to the player.

It’s usually at 98-99% and opposite the RTP is the house edge that refers to the casino’s commission. If the RTP is 98%, then the house edge is 2%. In Dream Catcher, however, the RTP pertains to the probability of the wheel stopping at a specific segment. The game doesn’t have a single RTP percentage like in slots because each segment on the wheel has a corresponding RTP.

How to Play Live Dream Catcher by Evolution

The way to live out your dreams in real time is simple: stake 1 mBTC+, choose your lucky number and watch the wheel spin. Because we’re always looking to bring you the best Bitcoin casino games here at BitCasino, we didn’t want to include a money wheel game that followed the crowd.

Now, the standard set-up for Dream Catcher is pretty straightforward. You place your bet and choose a number between 1 and 40. At this point, our host will spin the wheel and, if your number comes in, you win.

This is all pretty standard, but we’ve made it so you’ve got a better chance to win with every spin. In between the standard numbers, you’ll find a series of bonuses known as multipliers. Working in the same way as slot multipliers, these bonus wins are open to everyone, regardless of the number they bet on. What’s more, the values range from 2x to 7x, which means you could win some serious cash if one of these gems appears!

Important aspects of Dream Catcher

Dream Catcher is one of the easiest live dealer games you can play online or offline. All you have to do is pick a number—or all of them!—and place your bets. The live dealer then spins the wheel, and if it stops at your chosen number/s, you win!

The gigantic vertical wheel is divided into a total of 54 segments with 6 numbers and 2 multipliers, namely: 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 40, 2x and 7x.

To spice up the game, there are also multipliers that act as the bonus features of the game. If the wheel lands on the 2x or 7x segments, all bets placed on that round are held and no new bets can be placed. The wheel spins again and the multiplier applies to the winning number.

It’s easy to remember each bet’s payouts since they match with the odds of the bets. They pay on a ‘to-one’ basis corresponding to the number on the winning segment. For example, winning number 5 pays 5 to 1 and winning on 40 pays 40 to 1.

Though the 54 segments on the wheel are equally divided, the number of segments each bet has differs. The smaller the number, the more segments it has on the wheel while the bigger the number, the fewer the segments.

Check the list below to see how many segments each number and multiplier has on the wheel:

What does this mean to you, the player?

Dream Catcher is straightforward with its gameplay and the same goes with its RTPs. The fact that its range of RTPs corresponds to the number of segments on the wheel lets you know right away which segments are more likely to win. Since 1 covers almost half of the wheel, it’s obvious that it’s the bet that will most frequently win.

Knowing the RTP for each segment allows you to plan how you’re going to spread your bet throughout the game. If you prefer playing it safe, then you’ll probably stick to placing your bets on 1 or 2. Even though the payout is smaller compared to betting and winning on 40, you still have higher chances of winning. If you’re in it to win, then betting large on 40 or all numbers is most likely your game style.

However, do note that the RTP is just one factor to consider when planning your betting rounds. There are other aspects that come into play once the wheel spins such as speed and timing. But most of all, the important thing when playing Dream Catcher is to have fun and enjoy the incomparable excitement brought by this rewarding money wheel.

How do payouts on Dream Catcher work?

Well, it is really quite simple. There are 54 potential spots that the wheel can land on. 52 of them are taken up by where you place your wagers. These are made up of the numbers 1, 2, 4, 10, 20 and 40. Each one will pay back your stake, plus your stake multiplied by the number you placed your wager on. So, a winning wager on 40 would pay back your stake plus 40 times your stake.

The two other spots are occupied by additional multipliers – a x2 and a x7. If the wheel lands on one of the multipliers, then the wheel is spun again and that multiplier is applied to any winning wagers. So, a wager on 40 if the wheel landed on a x7 multiplier would pay back your stake plus 280 times your stake if you won on the next spin – this is because 40 x 7 = 280.

It has all the features needed to create a top-class live casino game – exciting gameplay and the potential for big wins. This makes it the crown jewel in the Evolution Gaming portfolio, but it is not all that it has to offer to players.
