Truly fun, fast and fair: Bitcasino wins 2 EGR awards

Bitcasino won two awards at the EGR Marketing & Innovation Awards 2020 that were held virtually on July 30, 2020! We’re ecstatic to celebrate the two awards we received:

• CRM campaign for our spooky Bitcoin predictor
• Social marketing campaign for our Team Trees campaign

We’re proud to be recognised in the competitive crypto casino industry by being disruptive and innovative. For both awards, we were up against some of the most well known online casino brands, such as Mr Green, Betsson Group and William Hill.

What was the Spooky Bitcoin Predictor?

The Spooky Bitcoin Predictor was a promotional Halloween campaign we ran from October 21 to November 1, 2019. This in-house innovation gave players the opportunity to predict what the Bitcoin price would be on November 4, 00:00 (GMT).

To enter the promotion, players had to wager to earn tickets that would allow them to guess the price of Bitcoin on a given day. They could then monitor both theirs and others’ guesses via our live, on-site leaderboard. The closest guess won the jackpot of 1 BTC (€8,251.89 at the time of the campaign).

 

What was the Team Trees campaign?

The #TeamTrees aim was to plant 20 million trees by the beginning of 2020, with the movement quickly becoming one of the biggest fundraising challenges social media had ever seen.

To help with this global problem of deforestation, we ran a Team Trees social marketing campaign from November 13 to November 30, 2019. During this time, we galvanised our community of players via Bitcasino’s new Loyalty Club to donate their monthly Loyalty rewards to 101,010 plant trees.

The judges felt that our campaign was genuinely innovative, which made it stand out from the other nominations.

At the 2021 EGR Marketing & Innovation Awards, Bitcasino won the Best Use of a Brand Ambassador award! This event recognised Bitcasino for its partnership with Baruto, a famous sumo wrestler from Estonia.
