How to buy crypto using P2P on Binance in Africa?

Step 1: From the Wallet overview page, hover your cursor over the ‘Buy Crypto’ tab and click on ‘P2P Trading’.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Buy’ tab and choose the cryptocurrency you want to buy.

Step 3: Select your local currency and payment method to buy your crypto. Scroll down and choose your preferred seller.

In choosing a seller, review their posted prices, trading limit, number of previous trades and verification. On the list of sellers, prices are arranged from the cheapest bid. Binance certified merchants also have an indicating yellow checkmark beside their username.

You can also use the ‘Filter’ option to categorise the list of sellers according to the amount and payment method.

Step 4: After clicking the ‘Buy’ button, enter the amount you want to pay which is converted into the amount of crypto you’ll receive. Then, press ‘Buy’.

Step 5: Wait for the page to load and review the transaction on the redirected page. Check the chat box to see if the seller has any other conditions before you pay.

Step 6: Click ‘Make payment’ and transfer the funds to the seller’s provided account.

*You can also copy important details to your clipboard for future references such as the reference message, name, bank account number and bank name.

Step 7: After payment, notify the seller by clicking the ‘Transferred, notify seller’. Wait for the seller to confirm that they received your payment. Once done, the cryptocurrency will be released into your Binance wallet.

Sellers have a time limit of 30 minutes to release your cryptocurrency once payment has been made. To call or chat with the seller, go to the ‘Orders’ tab to view your pending trades and contact the seller from there.

Step 8: Go back to Binance and click on withdraw.
