A Complete Guide to Bitcasino Blackjack

A Complete Guide to Bitcasino Blackjack

    8/1/2018

Its exact origins might be unclear, but there’s one thing we do know here at BitCasino: blackjack is one of the most popular games and is thriving! A product of the 18th century, thanks to a combination of card games known as Chemin de Fer and French Ferme, blackjack is now known the world over.

In among the free play and real money options, our blackjack lobby is stocked up with everything from Atlantic City, Pontoon, European, Classic, Spanish 21 and many more variants. Now, as a hungry Bitcoin bettor, you’ll probably want to try them all during your time with us, but get the fundamentals right, master this game and the world is your oyster!

Naturally, we’re here to offer a helping hand as we always do. From blackjack’s main objectives to the ways you can bet and, finally, the way to play at BitCasino, we’ve compiled a complete overview of the game. So, if you’ve ever asked yourself the question “how do I play Bitcoin blackjack?”, prepare to have all of your hopes and dreams fulfilled as we give you the answer.

How Do I Play Bitcoin Blackjack?

Before you can understand the mechanics of blackjack, you need to know the main aim of the game. Fortunately, this is extremely simple: You need to make a total that’s closer to 21 (or 21 exactly) than the dealer. This opens up an interesting dynamic that most newbies often overlook. The best total you can hit is 21, but that doesn’t mean you have to hit it in order to win.

As long as you have a better total than the dealer (so that you’re closer to 21 without going over), you’ll win. For example, you could have a total of 12 and still win if the dealer goes bust. Similarly, you could win with 18 if the dealer draws 17. As long as you can beat the dealer and not go over 21, you’ll win. Of course, to win you first need some cards. At the start of any game of blackjack, you’ll first have to place a bet that’s equal to or above the table minimum. Once you’ve done this, you’ll receive two cards face up.

At this point, the dealer will also receive two cards, but only one of them will be face up (although both cards will be on view in a special variant known as Double Exposure). From here, you have to assess the value of your hand, as well as the dealer’s (high-value cards are a sign of strength) and decide whether you want to make one of the following moves:

    • Stand: Don’t take any
    • additional cards.
    • Hit: Take a free card.
    • Double Down: Pay an amount equal to
    • your bet and receive just one card. This option is only available for most
    • games if you have a total of 8, 9, 10 or 11.
    • Split: If your opening hand
    • contains a pair, you can pay an extra bet equal to your starting stake and
    • split the hand into two (one card for each). At this point, you’ll receive
    • two extra cards and the game proceeds as before.

This is how you play blackjack!

As long as you understand that you have to place a bet, wait for your first two cards and then make one of the above moves in order to push the action onto the dealer, you’re ready to go.

As long as you understand that the best total is 21, but your main aim is to get a better total than the dealer, you’ll have no trouble rolling through any of our Bitcoin blackjack variants.

How Do I Play Bitcoin Blackjack and Win?

Assuming you follow the basics and win a round of blackjack, you can bank 1:1 on your stake if you get a better total than the dealer. However, if you hit blackjack with your first two cards, using an ace and a ten value card, you’ll receive a 3:2 payout. To give this some context, a standard win from a 10 mBTC would return you 20 mBTC: 10 mBTC profit and your 10 mBTC stake back. In contrast, if you wagered 10 mBTC and hit blackjack, you’d get 25 mBTC: 15 mBTC profit and your 10 mBTC bet back.

Now, as we’ve said, blackjack has evolved over the centuries and, today, we offer a wide variety of options. Some of these games provide different payouts. Although we won’t go into specifics, the main thing you need to remember is that it’s possible to make side bets and win prizes worth thousands when certain combinations of cards are dealt. What’s even more impressive about these bonus blackjack style games is that you don’t have to learn any new rules. As long as you can answer the question “how do I play Bitcoin blackjack?”, you’ll be able to play our bonus games and win thousands.
