Realistic Games have a guy that keeps appearing in their online slots, and his name is Randall. Previously the star of Randall’s Riches, here he’s a classy travel photographer in Snapshot. The game takes on that typically realistic feel, both by name and nature of the developer, and wouldn’t look out of place in some of the higher-end casinos with fixed odds betting terminals on the floor.
Presented over a 5x3 setup with 20 active paylines, this slot is presented as Realistic often do, as and with the characteristics of a real-life machine. Here you’ll find a backdrop that amongst other things includes a selection of Randall’s photos, we particularly like that fact that they all sport images taken from early Realistic games, nice.
Looks like a photo finish
Don’t get too excited about the symbols, they are pretty basic and a little unimaginative. Lower value symbols are a predictable selection of the playing card deck, ranging from 10 to Ace. The higher value symbols are slightly more exciting, but not much. They consist of photo themed words, including ‘zoom’, ‘trash’ and ‘flash’ – yes, we know.
The wild in the game comes in the form of a colourful representation of a camera lens, replacing all other symbols to form wins except for the scatter. Talking of which, the scatter also comes in the form of a camera lens, so know the difference.
Free Spins are the key to these prizes
Get three, four or five of the camera lens scatter symbols across the reels to bag ten free spins, and this is additional to the calculated win that will come from the scatter symbols paytable value.
As the free spins run an additional snapshot symbol will appear on reel three, when it does it’ll double the total of the current win. You ideally want to have this drop towards the end of your spin session, when the pot is after for a valuable boost.
This feature triggers irrespective of whether you paly all paylines or not, as it activates via the scatter. However, on saying that, those chasing the bigger prizes will of course want to play as many paylines as possible. Wins will be bigger during this feature the more paylines you play. You can’t retrigger these spins within the feature, so don’t get complacent.
As basic as Snapshot may seem, it does have a certain charm about it, as well as some attractive features. The graphics are stunning to be honest and the soundtrack is cool too. We’re not sure if we feel the need to rave too much about this one, but we’d urge you to at least give it a try.
