Those who are tiring of Chinese themed slots won’t be too enamoured with this one, at least not theme-wise anyway. The slot comes packed with bonus features, Blueprint gaming proving that Imperial Dragon proving is more than just a cliche, or a bad name for a Chinese restaurant.
Presented over the standard 5 x 3 setup with a modest 20 fixed paylines, this slot is so typically oriental in design, with blossom trees and ornate golden structures for the reels, all set in a misty land with that distinct red hue.
The symbols of the East
The big money comes from the high value symbols in these games, and this slot has a range of symbols to get you excited. A dragon statue, a temple, a Chinese lantern, Chinese coins and a delicate fan make up the high value icons here, with the lower values being made up of the classic playing cards;10, J, Q, K and Ace.
The wild comes in the form of a rather fierce looking dragon, hanging onto a crystal ball for dear life. This symbol will substitute all others and help to form winning combinations for all other symbols, except for the golden dragon scatter.
Golden Dragon Free Spins
Triggered by landing three, four or five of the golden dragon scatter symbols anywhere in view. You will then receive 15, 20 or 25 free spins respectively.
You’ll get transferred to a screen displaying four sets of reels. To begin with only the lower left one is active; when your spins begin you’ll be able to collect the golden dragons as they land on the reels. The other reel sets and features will start to gradually unlock as is shown below:
12 Golden Dragons – unlocks the second reel set, awards five more spins and the wild becomes an expanding wild.*
18 Golden Dragons – unlocks the third reel set, awards five more spins, the wild is an expanding wild and 10, J and Q are removed from the reels.*
24 Golden Dragons – unlocks the fourth and final reel set, awards five more spins, the wild is an expanding wild and all the playing card symbols are removed.*

Imperial Dragon is a well built game, there’s no doubt about that. As Chinese themed games go, it’s one of the better ones. Packing an RTP of 95.53%. It’s a little more house=weighted than we’d like, and it really suffers from being another oriental themed slot, we’re sure even the Chinese are sick of them by now.
