Powered by Play’ n’ Go, Golden Ticket is 5x5 reels video slot although it is more reminiscent of an arcade game than a standard video slot. The theme and background itself are based on a circus scene, with the reels set against a circus tent backdrop with a moustached strongman flanking the reels.
The icons are naturally circus theme-related and include two separate top hats, the ringmaster, iron weights, juggling skittles, the strongman a clown and more.
With this trip to the circus, the video slot sets up a feast for the players’ senses, and that’s certainly the case with Golden Ticket that looks and sounds magnificent. Combined with tents, caravans and stalls mentioned above - Golden Ticket represents a treat for all player types.
Playing Golden Ticket
Before players settle in to watch the roaring circus act, they should adjust their game settings.
Players can choose their coin size range by checking the quick panel that is located below the reels. Players choose the amount they wish to bet and click on it.
To begin spinning the reels, players will need to hit the “spin” button and then the reels will turn once.
Pressing the “autoplay” button that is located on the left of the quick bet panel, players will determine the number of times they wish for reels to turn automatically without interruption. This is great for players who become easily frustrated with pressing the spin button so often.
When it comes to gameplay, this slot is pretty manageable to play. The bonus rounds that players encounter include both cascading icons and the Golden Ticket bonus round.
The cascading icons concern the notion that to make a vertical or horizontal line of three-of-a-kind or more matching icons. When players land a match gold ticket icon, it will replace one of those other icons, and the others will thus disappear.
At this point, the Golden Ticket transforms into the role of a wild symbol and contributes significantly to generating new winning formations in a cascading manner. Every win players land in succession will increase the multiplier that is shown on the left-hand side of the reels.
With each spin, players will need to make the letters’ BONUS’ appear on two randomly selected columns behind the grid. If they manage to clear only one of these two columns during the cascading process, they will trigger the bonus round.
The screen will then change into a shooting range gallery, and players must try and find five or more matching icons anywhere on the range. If they land the five or more bonus star icons required, players will be awarded more rounds. The maximum number of rounds players can be assigned can reach as high as twenty.
Play’ N’ Go has crafted a stunningly-beautifully designed video slot. There’s a retro charm to the graphics, and the barrel organ audio certainly conjures up a night at the circus or fairground. Although Golden Ticket is not packed with gameplay extras, the symbol drop wins that come with multipliers keep the central game tidily moving along enough.
The Bonus round in Golden Ticket is quite tricky to hit, yet it offers some decent potential when it occurs.
The trip to the big top is a delightful one. Players won’t find many slots that are better designed than Golden Ticket, and there are enough moving parts to the gameplay to keep players entertained. If players love circus-themed slots, then Golden Ticket is at the top of the list.
