Banana Rock is the latest banana flavoured slot from Play’N Go, possible the only one. It’s no regular slot, and to be honest the featured all-monkey band is far from average. Although, granted, there was once a band called The Monkeys, though this band consists of them… it’s a bit different, and could possibly have changed the 1960s music scene.
These are friendly monkeys however, and they just want to give you cash, as opposed to stealing your windscreen wipers. Presented over a 5 x 3 setup with a modest 10 paylines, this slot’s neon glow sooths the headache that its bad synthesised rock might cause.
Remember you’re dealing with cheeky monkeys, so get clued up as to how you can optimise your game. It’s pretty easy to set you bets, the game has an easily accessible ‘quick bet’ panel where you can chose the minimum and maximum bets.
When you ready hit ‘play’ to get going, or if your feeling flushed with cash and have accepted you have no control over whether you win or lose you can set the number of spins it can fire using ‘autoplay’ in a separate panel, and then go and put the kettle on.

This game is fairly big on wilds, appropriately you might say, with a Rock’n’Rollin wild and a regular wild too, both have the power to substitute for all symbols, bar the scatter as expected.
Two or more Rock’n’Rollin wilds across the reels will see you getting a respin, with the Rock’n’Rollin wild frozen on the reels. The one over to the right busts its moves over to the left and joins other wilds on its journey.
Spin, spin sugar
The scatter comes in the form of the game logo, and getting them on reels one and five will activate the free spins feature - sorry ‘Rockin’ free spins feature. Band members (that’s the monkeys, remember) will stack for you to collect and add to your free spins win, benefitting from their attached multiplier. You can earn up to 5x the multiplier per band member and additional scatters will equate to more free spins.
Encore Spin’s are a nice little treat and pop up when your regular free spins end. They take the multipliers collected so far, combine them and apply them to all wins during the Encore Spin. What makes it special here being the monopoly the band members have on the reels, which increases your chances of winning big. Multipliers can reach 25x your win, taking the maximum win potential to 2500x your stake.
What can we say? It’s great fun, a bit wacky and pays well if you stick at it. It’s volatile at 96.6% RTP, but this makes it all the more exciting. It looks great and the theme is weird enough to make you chuckle to yourself every now and then. We’d recommend turning the sound off and whacking on a bit of AC/DC though, just saying.
