Call Of The Colosseum is apparently based on the fearsome combat which used to take place in these impressive arenas. It has five reels and twenty-five paylines, with the entertainment taking place on a backdrop that has two ornate columns and below a sculpted building.
Symbols in Call of the Colosseum
All the icons are related to the Roman Empire theme, and the symbols include coins, a bunch of grapes, leather sandals, a bag of coins, a chariot, a warrior’s shield and helmet, a dangerous-looking tiger, the Colosseum and a female.
The emperor is the game's wild icon, and this appears on the second, third and fourth reel. Call Of The Colosseum also has a second scatter that is represented by the scarred shield.
Bonus Features of Call Of The Colosseum
Call Of The Colosseum has two bonus rounds, one is the free spins feature, and there is a gamble feature mini-game.
Free spins are triggered when players land three or more of the shield scatter symbols anywhere along the reels.
Players will initially be rewarded with ten free spins plus all wins attained are attached with an x2 multiplier. Secondly, each time the emperor lands during the free spins he will give players a ‘thumbs down’ or a ‘thumbs up’ – a ‘thumbs up’ will reward players with between one and three additional spins.
Players can either double or quadruple their wins by clicking on the Gamble button beneath the reels. Players just need to choose the correct card and colour of the suit. A warning though, guessing incorrectly could lead to players forfeiting their wins.
Call Of The Colosseum is a little dated, but it’s not all that bad and has an arcade feel to it. The visuals and animations are entertaining, and the free spins tend to become extended getting players more wins with the appearances by the emperor’s thumbs adding to the game's entertainment level. Give it a go!
